The piano in this song is so beautiful.. I feel like this song refers to an affair. Like after the passion is over the regret is there which makes her bag heavier. He seems to want more but it's not possible..

This song is truly amazing. My favorite part is when Joe sings, "The best way out is through." That couldn't be more true......The only way to get out of any situation is to work your way through it....

I love the song especially the chorus. It's beautiful. I was curious about the story that inspired the song. At first I was looking to place blame, point the finger at the one responsible for bring on this ungodly hour. I've decided to rethink that angle. Relationships can be quite complicated and the lyrics allows for this.
